Belgium

Brazil
The Brazilian Agriculture Research Corporation (Embrapa)- Brazil has notified the Secretary of the inclussion in the Multilateral system of the Treaty of 2,377 accessions of five different collections mantained by Embrapa, as from 7 May 2009. Passport data on the accessions and user procedures to order samples will be soon available from a website.
Canada
At the Third Session of the Governing Body, Canada reported that all canadian germplasm placed into the multilateral system was available for distribution. Details and relevant information is available through an internet accessible database at: http://pgrc3.agr.gc.ca.
Cyprus
The Director of the Agricultural Research Institute on behalf of Cyprus notified the Secretary that 485 accessions maintained in the collections held by the Genebank of the Agricultural Research Institute (Cyprus) are included in the Multilateral System. The number of accessions per crop are listed in the appendix to the notification. The information can be found online at: http://eurisco.ecpgr.org/
Czech Republic
The Ministry of Agriculture of the Czech Republic has notified the Secretary that plant genetic resources for food and agriculture listed in Annex I and maintained in the Research Institute of Crop Production in Prague are included in the Multilateral system. Detailed data on the composition of the collection and user procedures to order samples are available at the website of EVIGEZ.
Egypt
The Head of the National Gene Bank (NGB) of Egypt notified the Secretary of the International Treaty of 40 citrus accessions collected and characterized thanks to the support of a Benefit-sharing Project and that are included in the Multilateral System of the International Treaty. The names of the accessions are listed in the attached notification. Additional information will be made available on the website of the National Gene Bank.
Estonia
The Ministry of Agriculture of Estonia has notified the Secretary of the International Treaty that the following plant genetic resources for food and agriculture listed in Annex I and maintained in Estonia have been included in the Multilateral System:
1. The collections held by the Genebank of the Jogeva Plant Breeding Institute, located in Jogeva;
2. The Potato collection held by the Department of Plant Biotechnology of EVIKA of the Estonian Agricultural Research Centre, located in Saku.
3. The Malus, Prunus, Pryrus, Ribes, Rubus, Fragaria collection held by the Polli Horticultural Research Centre of the Estonian University of Life Science, located in Polli.
Germany
The Federal Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection of Germany has notified the Secretary of the Treaty that more than 100,000 accessions that are held in the collections of the Genebank of the Leibniz Institute of Plant Genetics and Crop Plant Research (IPK), and the Fragaria and Malus collections held by the Federal Research Centre for Cultivated Plants have been included in the Multilateral System. The German material is fully described by the German National Inventory for Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture (PGRDEU).
Italy
The Italian Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche notified the Secretary that the Triticum and Hordeum collection held by Istituto di Genetica Vegetale the located in Via Amendola, 165/a 70126 Bari -Italy and consisting of 27.743 Triticum and 2.102 Hordeum have been included in the Multilateral System. The information on the collections will be displyed at the web site eco.igv.cnr.itlphpmyadmin by the end of 2011.
Italy
Jordan
The National Center for Agricultural Research and Extension (NCARE) of Jordan has notified the Secretary of 1885 accessions of plant genetic resources for food and agriculture listed in Annex 1 of the Treaty included in the Multilateral System. The material is located in Baga, Amman. Detailed data on the composition of the collection and user procedures to order samples are readily available through the website www.ncare.gov.jo. Duplicate samples from all accessions available at NCARE were also deposited, and they are available at, the International Center of ICARDA in Aleppo, Syria.
Kenya
The Kenya Agricultural Research Institute (KARl) of Kenya notified the Secretary that a total of 30 genera comprising of 12,873 accessions listed in the Annex I of the International Treaty and maintained in the National Genebank of Kenya are included in the Multilateral System.
Lebanon
The Agriculture Research Institute of the Republic of Lebanon has notified the Secretary of the Treaty of 47 accessions of 44 species of 19 crops that are maintained in Tal Amara Rayak are included in the Multilateral System.
Madagascar
The Ministry of Agriculture of Madagascar has notified the Secretary of the International Treaty that 7 999 accessions of various crops listed in Annex I of the Treaty and conserved in several national collections are included in the Multilateral System. The number of accessions per crop and collection are summarized in the notification.
Malawi
The Ministry of Agriculture of Malawi has notified the Secretary of the International Treaty that 1419 accessions of plant genetic resources for food and agriculture belonging to 17 genera listed in Annex I have been included in the Multilateral System. The accessions are maintained by the Malawi Plant Genetic Resources Centre at Chitedze Research Station, except for the banana collection which is at Bvumbwe Research Station.
Morocco
INRA-Morocco notified the Secretary about the inclusion of the collections held by the its genebank in the Settat Regional Research Center and a Triticum spp. collection held by the INRA-Settat consisting of 195 durum wheat and 156 bread wheat accessions.
Namibia
The National Botanic Research Institute of Namibia has notified 1,722 accessions, including a collection of 1,441 accessions of pearl millet, which are included in the System.
Netherlands
The Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality of the Netherlands has notified the Secretary of four collections maintained by four different centers: the collections of the Centre for Genetic Resources of the Wageningen University Research Centre, the solanaceae collection held by the Radboud University consisting of non-tuber bearing wild species, and the apple collections of the Pomologische Vereniging Noord-Holland, and the Stichting Fruithof Frederiksoord, which contain traditional Dutch apples.
Poland
The following plant genetic resources for food and agriculture listed in Annex I and maintained in Poland have been included in the Multilateral System:
1. The collections held by the Plant Breeding and Acclimatization Institute (IHAR), located in Radzików (18573 accessions);
2. The collections of Solanum held by the Plant Breeding and Acclimatization Institute (IHAR), Research Division in Mlochów (37 accessions).
3.The collections of Malus held by the Arboretum adn Institute of Physiography in Bolestraszyce (391 accessions).
4. The collections of Malus held by the Association of Chelminski and Nadwislanski Landscape Parks, located in Swiecie (87 accessions).
Through the website of the National Centre for Plant Genetic Resources in Poland detailed data on the composition of the collections and user procedures to order samples that are already available.
Portugal
The Instituto Nacional dos Recursos Biológicos (INRB) on behalf of Portugal has notified the Secretary that 813 accessions of plant genetic resources for food and agriculture listed in Annex 1 of the Treaty are included in the Multilateral System. Through the website eurisco.ecpgr.org detailed data on the composition of the collections is readily available.
Romania
The Ministry of Agriculture, Forests and Rural Development of Romania has notified the Secretary that the following plant genetic resources for food and agriculture listed in Annex I and maintained in the Suceava Gene bank have been included in the Multilateral System:
-The collection held by National Gene bank, Romania, located in Suceava.
The website www.svgenebank.ro provides access to the collection’s database, and detailed data on the composition of the collection is readily available.
Rwanda
The Rwanda Agriculture Board has notified the Secretary that the following plant genetic resources for food and agriculture listed in Annex 1 of the International Treaty are included in the Multilateral System:
-The collections held by the Rwanda Agriculture Board (RAB) in the various agriculture research centres of the Board throughout Rwanda. (http://www.rab.gov.rw)
-The bean, Irish potatoes and rice collections held by the Higher Institute of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry (ISAE) located in Musanze, Rwanda. (http://www.isea.ac.rw).

Senegal
l'Institut sénégalais de Recherches Agricoles (ISRA) a informé le Secretaire du Traité que le l'inclussion dans le Système multilatéral des collections détenues par ISRA à Dakar et la collection de Mil à chandelle (Pennisetum), de mais (Zea) et de sorgho (Sorghum) contenant 49 èchantillons.
Spain
The Ministry of Environment and Rural and Marine Affairs of Spain has notified the Secretary of 16.157 accessions of plant genetic resources for food and agriculture listed in Annex 1 of the Treaty included in the Multilateral System. Through the website Centro de Recursos Fitogenéticos detailed data on the composition of the collections is readily available.
Sudan
The Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of The Sudan has notified the Secretary that 6351 samples of sorghum, pearl millet, banana and other plant genetic resources for food and agriculture listed in Annex I and maintained in the Plant Genetic Resources Unit of the Agricultural Research Corporation in Wad Medani, Sudan, have been included in the Multilateral System.
Sweden
The publicly available collections held by the Nordic Genetic Resource Centre of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden.
Switzerland
The Federal Office for Agriculture (FOAG) of the Switzerland has notified the Secretary that the following plant genetic resources for food and agriculture listed in Annex I as well as non-Annex I crops and maintained in Switzerland have been included in the Multilateral System:
-The collections held by the National Genebank of Switzerland, Agroscope Changins Wãdenswil Research Station, Nyon.
-The accessions held by different private and public organisations
Through the website www.bdn.ch and precisely http://www.bdn.ch/lists/list_content?id=383 detailed data on the composition of the collection and the holders are readily available.
United Kingdom
The Department of Environment Food and Rural Affairs of the UK has notified the Secretary that a number of accession of genetic resources for food and agriculture listed in Annex I and maintained in colection of the United Kingdom are included in the Multilateral System. The number of accessions per crop and collection are summarized in the notification. Detailed data of material currently available can be found at: Eurisco.
United Republic of Tanzania
The Permanent Secretary of the Plant Genetic Resources Centre (PGRC) of Tanzania notified the Secretary of a list of PGRFA belonging to crops in the Annex 1 of the International Treaty that are included in the Multilateral System of Access and Benefit-sharing of the Treaty. The material, detailed in the annex to the attached notification, includes accession sof sorghum, lablab beans, cucurbita maxima, yam, plectrathus and finger millet. Additional information is stored in the SADC Plant Genetic Resources Centre.
Zambia
The Agricultural Research Institute of Zambia has informed the Secretary of twelve collections with a total number of 4,340 accessions which are included in the Treaty System.
