The Panel of Experts met in Rome from 25 to 27 July 2011 and finalized the appraisal of project proposals submitted under the Call for Proposals 2010. The Panel of Experts followed the request of the Governing Body at its Fourth Session to ensure that quality and technical merit determined the appraisal of project proposals. The Panel submitted their recommendations on the appraisal to the Bureau of the Fifth Session of the Governing Body for its approval of projects to be funded under the Benefit-sharing Fund of the International Treaty.
