Article 15 of the International Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture (one of the conventions or agreements concluded under Article XIV of the FAO Constitution) states that Contracting Parties to the Treaty call upon the International Agricultural Research Centres (IARCs) to conclude agreements with the Governing Body of the Treaty with regard to ex situ collections.
